1960’s vintage MiJ Teisco Audition electro acoustic guitar model 7003
1960’s vintage MiJ Teisco Audition electro acoustic guitar model 7003 This Japanese-made Teisco Audition electro acoustic guitar is one of those thinline models from the 1960’s that some of us will remember. You don’t see many around these days. I suppose it was because people moved on to more expensive guitars. If you consider that this guitar is now around 50 years old, it’s in very good shape. The only item that’s missing is the “Audition” badge on the headstock (There are now some scratches there instead!). It retains everything else from the little (typically Japanese-Teisco) control knobs to those neat pickups with chrome surrounds and big black further surrounds. The little adjustable Rosewood and metal bridge is correct and the tail piece even still has the original tremolo bar The neck and the body are bound. The body has just a few marks and scratches but nothing ghastly. The neck is bolted to the body and still has the model number sticker. The Rosewood fingerboard is in good shape. The zero fret has some scoring but all of the others are in good shape. Even the back of the neck is in good shape. The neck has a truss rod and the action is currently nice and low at 3mm at the 12th and 2-2.5mm at the 6th fret. These Teisco Audition electro acoustic guitars are not easy to find. It plays nicely and is a nice lightweight guitar fir for any collection.
