Westone Spectrum Series ll electric guitar, Model SP1012-RD

Westone Spectrum Series ll electric guitar, Model SP1012-RD, 1987/88

Westone Spectrum Series ll electric guitar, Model SP1012-RD, 1987/88

This is a great 80’s throw-back, with 2 mini switches. One 2-way for the Neck pickup and a 3-way for the Bridge pickup. It has metal Master Volume and Tone control knobs.

This model comes with the Bendmaster deluxe Trem, separating it from the SP1012ST model. (Presumably ST stands for standard). It still has the trem bar.

It has a Hard Rock 4-bolt maple neck with small pearlescent finger dots and side dots, Rosewood fingerboard, 25 ½” scale with 22 Frets and Ferrite pickups with a single coil and  Humbucker.

Get back to the 80’s with this Spectrum. It’s in great shape.

Here’s the nit-pick list:

Headstock. Overall good but with an obvious nick out of the tip. One of the original GOTOH tuners is missing its cap and there is an allen key holder attached.

Neck and Frets. Great. No obvious signs of wear. The action is nice and low, at about 2mm. No cracks around the neck pocket either.

Body. Mostly clear of scratches but with a few tiny marks and one very minor bit of lacquer damage to the left side (about ½ Cm and not too obvious). The back has some very small scratches near the edge of the bottom. The bottom strap pin is a little loose.

Hardware. It all works.
