Vintage Kay Vanguard guitar V100 with early decorated headstock & original case
Very cool early 1960’s Kay Vanguard with the sought-after large decorated headstock. It has that 60’s vibe with a late 1950’s feel. It sounds great and the electrics work!
It’s a standard scale (25 ½”) electric guitar with 2 pickups and comes with the original bridge cover. It has a double-offset slab design body which is made of hardwood.
It is supplied with the original canvas case.
The neck is good. There is a small ding in the centre of the back of the neck. It has no play wear to the brass frets. They must have been replaced at some point recently. The Rosewood fingerboard is in excellent condition. The action is around 3mm. It’s missing one control knob.
The electrics work well. Most people will buy this and hang it up as it’s so cool. If you want to play it you can.
Simply put, this is a very good example of an early Kay Vanguard V100 with the early decorated headstock.
