Vintage Kay K-2 electric guitar for sale with double cut small body. Light vintage Kay guitar with SG style body. 1970’s Kay K-2 SG style in excellent playing condition. What a great 1970’s guitar. These old Kays are a great way to own a dependable vintage electric guitar. These Kay K-2 models don’t come up very often. When they do, they’re snapped for many good reasons. They play nicely, they are from the dependable Japanese Teisco stable, they produce the original vintage sound and …. They hold their value very nicely. This is the fixed bridge, 2 pickup, model. It all works as it should and is in very good condition. Considering it’s almost 50 years old, it’s amazing that it only has a few lacquer chips, some buckle rash and some very tiny scratches. Playability. It has a lovely laminated neck. The RW fingerboard is in excellent shape. The frets are good and the action is excellent as you would expect. It plays nicely. Overall. I’m reducing the size of my collection so, even though this is a very nice original Kay, it’s got to go. It’s a great player and you won’t be disappointed. The guitar is in such good condition that it’s hard to believe it’s now 40+ years old. Alterations: None apparent. Headstock. Original and without issues. Original button machine tuners. Neck. It is straight and nice to play. The back of the neck is good and only has a few small marks. It has a truss rod for adjustment. Hardware: Two original pickups, together with original bridge and tail piece cover. The body: It’s in good condition, with a few tiny nicks in the clear lacquer finish. There is some buckle rash on the back. I’ve shown it in the images. The wood grain shows through beautifully. Scale is 25” Case: Supplied a soft gig bag.
