Vantage VP795 1970s vintage Matsumoku guitar w/original case
Vantage VP795 vintage Japanese guitar This is a superb, original, Vantage VP795 vintage Japanese guitar from the late 1970's. It is in very good condition with just one tiny ding on the body (about 2mm wide). It has all of the original items: Vantage Gotoh chrome tuners, original Japanese bridge unit, original switches and speed knobs. It’s like a time warp machine. The body is clear of buckle rash and does not have finger marks on the front. The neck is set and is perfectly positioned with the action at just 2mm. The Rosewood fingerboard is clear of wear and the frets are in good condition. When Vantage made guitars in Matsumoko, Japan, they were high quality instruments. They were made with the best materials, switches and hardware. This one is no exception. Even the nut is brass! The body is made from a combination of Mahogany with a Maple centre and two walnut stripes. The neck is a 3-piece laminated Mahogany set-in design with an equstaola truss rod.
