Pearl Professional MX Series 1980s Vintage Steel Shell 8” deep rock snare with SUPER HOOPS
Pearl Professional MX Series 1980s Vintage Steel Shell 8” deep rock snare with SUPER HOOPS This is a great sounding rock snare drum with Super Hoops and a new Remo Emperor top head. The snare head is a used Remo Weathering Pinstripe. This drum was built to sink battleships! It’s very heavy and very deep (14” x 8”). It’s loud too. It ought to be locked up for disturbing the peace. It has a deep ultra-fat booming sound, a bit like the Ludwig Coliseum. Overall, this Pearl Professional MX Series snare drum is in good shape. There is light pitting on the chrome. It’s only noticeable when close-up. The snare throw-off is extremely well built. It has 10 lugs and Super Hoops at both ends. The only thing that is missing is a muffler pad. You don’t see these for sale very often. Probably because no-one wants to part with them. Made in Japan in the mid-1980s.
