Manuel Rodriguez y Hijos, C1M Caballero guitar with matt finish.
This full-size classical guitar comes from the well-respected makers, Manuel Rodriguez y Hijos, Madrid, Spain.
This C1M is made using a combination of Solid Canadian Cedar for the top, mahogany binding and laminated back & sides made from Indian Rosewood. The neck is Sapele on one side and with Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard.
Ultimately, you have a very good quality Spanish classical guitar, made with traditional construction techniques and a Spanish heel, for a fraction of the price of its competition. The tuners are good quality.
The C1M indicates that this is the Matt Finish version of the guitar.
Condition:
The headstock has some very small marks on the top. The string rollers and tuners are in good condition.
The neck is in good condition. The action is about 3mm, at the 12th Fret.
The body has a few very small marks and scratches, with 4 larger marks on the top near the neck (shown in the images). This is where the lacquer has been damaged. There are no splits or holes and these marks are why this guitar is comparitivley inexpensive.
New, they range from £250 up to £400. This guitar represents a good saving.
