A fine contemporary violin by an English luthier, dated 1971
A fine contemporary violin by an English luthier, dated 1971 This lovely violin was made by the English luthier, S G Lowe from Hale in 1971. It is beautifully crafted and shows fine workmanship. The purfling is extremely neat and the Spruce top is very fine grain. The two-piece Maple back is extremely vibrant and the neck scroll has scribed edges. The back length is 35.6cm The table has a very small split on the upper bout. It is approximately 1.3cm in length and is stable. This is an excellent intermediate contemporary violin at an affordable price. It has been nicely played-in. Please note: The colour of the varnish is a light golden, and not as red as most of the images depict. The images of the back is much closer to the true light golden colour. Please come and try this contemporary violin. I have many others that are for sale, so you are very welcome to try those too.
